Toradex is pleased to announce a new addition to the Colibri product range. The Colibri Tegra T20 is based on the latest Nvidia Tegra T20 Cortex A9 MPCore (Dual Core) processor and will be arriving in Q4 2010.

The Colibri Tegra T20 will offer increased CPU performance through dual cores operating up to 1.0GHz and supports 1080p HD video playback, with a range of display resolutions up to 1920×1080.  The processor’s ultra low power Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) also boasts 3D rendering capabilities for advanced graphics applications. On-board memory will include 256MB DDR RAM and 1GB flash.

This latest module is fully pin compatible with the current Colibri product family, allowing existing customers to smoothly migrate designs to take advantage of the latest technology.

There is a new version of the Toradex Windows CE 5 and 6 BSP and binary image as well as the new Toradex bootloader available for download. The new release V3.6 comes with many new features, improvements, and bug-fixes. One of the new features is for example the SDCard boot/update supported for SD cards formatted with FAT16. There is also a new fail-safe feature which makes sure the device can always be booted even if the bootloader update failed. The new BSP/Image/Bootloader works on all Colibri modules as well as on the Limestone platform.

Important for Colibri PXA270M V2.1a users:
The current BSP V3.6 does not support all features of this module. The following features are not working:
- Touch-screen: There is a patch available for download (http://files.toradex.com/Colibri/WinCE/Drivers/Colibri_PXA270M_Touch_Patch.zip)
- Ethernet: The built-in Ethernet controller does not work after a suspend/resume cycle. There is no patch for this issue.
Toradex will release a beta version of an image (V3.7b1) that supports all Colibri PXA270M features soon.

The release candidate for Toradex’ Colibri and Limestone Windows CE Image Version 3.6 and the corresponding bootloader are available in the download section of our website.  (Version 3.6 beta 2) The BSP is available here. We recommend to test this version if you plan to update to Toradex Windows CE Image or BSP V3.6 since this is the official release candidate which most probably will not change.
