USB Sensor with Compass and Accelerometer - 6 DOF
The Oak Orientation sensor features the LSM303DLH sensor from STMicroelectronics that combines a digital 3-axis accelerometer and 3-axis magnetometer into a single package. The sensor has a linear acceleration full-scale of ±2g / ±4g / ±8g and a magnetic field full-scale of ±1.3 / ±1.9 / ±2.5 / ±4.0 / ±4.7 / ±5.6 / ±8.1 gauss, both fully selectable by the user.
Applications range from tilt compensated compassing, display orientation and motion-activated functions, through to gaming and virtual reality input devices, impact recognition and logging, as well as vibration monitoring.
Crimped Type USB Connector - Easy and Secure
In addition to the standard USB Mini-B connector, the Oak Orientation also features a crimped type USB connector (Picoblade 5 pin THT 1.25mm). This facilitates the integration of the sensor into any custom application, while securing the USB connection.
