The Toradex ® brand originates from Toradex AG, which was founded in November 2003 by private investors as a shareholder company, and has since then experienced strong, consistent growth.
Business Principles
Toradex® companies are entirely debt free (no bank loans or leasing contracts) and operate completely independently from each other. The Toradex® business model makes exclusive use of the Internet as a distribution channel. A highly efficient supply chain enables Toradex® branded companies to provide highest quality products and services at low-cost.
As organically grown and a privately owned businesses, Toradex® is in the position of being able to make strategic decisions and investment to help ensure the long term stability and success of the brand, securing long term product availability and support. Toradex AG is based in Horw, close to the city of Luzern, Switzerland and provides central support to Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Toradex Inc., based in Seattle, provides a sales and support base to North and South America. Toradex Shanghai covers support in the Far East and Asia. Toradex Mechatronics Sarl, based in Renens, close to Lausanne, Switzerland, operates as a mechatronics research and development facility. Toradex Services GmbH is based in Horw and provides international services in the fields of business software (ERP/enterprise resource planning, websites and e-commerce), accounting, tax and legal consultancy and logistics.

Toradex products are deployed within a diverse range of markets and industries. Typical industries, amongst others include: automotive, medical devices, laboratory equipment, point of sales, gaming machines, navigation systems, musical instruments, machine control, virtual reality simulation, public signage, traffic control systems, building automation, security systems, robotics, process control and auto pilots.
